The 30-year old star appears on the programme alongside siblings, Kourtney, Kim Kardashians and Rob, half-sisters, Kylie and Kendall Jenner; mother, Kris Jenner and stepfather, Bruce Jenner and hopes their experiences ‘help’ their fans.
She said: ‘The show brings our family closer together. When things are good in your life, you want to be boastful and shout from the rooftops.
‘And when things are going badly, it can be natural to want to hide away. But I hope people watch our show and relate to all of our ups and downs. I hope it helps our fans in some way.’
Kim’s husband, Kanye West, with who she has 19-month-old daughter North, only makes limited appearances on the show and she admits she has to ‘compromise’ on how much of their lives are now shown on screen.
She said: ‘Kanye is more private than I am but he understands my life. I was doing the show before we met and he respects that. He is very supportive of what I do.’
‘Obviously there are times when he doesn’t want things shown on camera too much, but he knows how important it is for me to share my life. It’s definitely a compromise.’
Despite Kanye’s reservations, it was his idea to film his surprise lavish proposal to Kim on her 33rd birthday in October 2013.
Kim’s sister, Khloe told Closer magazine: ‘It was Kanye’s idea to film his engagement to Kim. He was the one who called the production crew and said get all the family to San Francisco.’
