The producers are still keeping sealed lips. But sources say the Biyi Bandele-directed Nigerian version of ‘Shuga: Love, Sex and Money’ will feature at least one Kenyan.
Mutuma, an actor, model and OAP who played Leo in the Kenyan series, has reportedly been confirmed for the role, ahead of the Nigerian production, which is an initiative of MTV’s Staying Alive Foundation.
Shuga Nigeria was announced just last week, at a star-studded Lagos event witnessed by the likes of Uti Nwachukwu, Olisa Adibua, Eku Edewor, Tosyn Bucknor, Tolu Ogunlesi, Oreka Godis and hosted by MTV VJ Ehis.
It is expected that EME acts Banky W and Wizkid who were on the second season of Shuga in Kenya, will feautre in the Nigeria project which premieres on world AIDS day December 1.
