Kelly Osbourne has threatened to quit ‘Fashion Police‘.
The 30-year old star says she is ‘seriously questioning staying on the show’ after her co-host, Giuliana Rancic made an offensive remark about her friend, Zendaya Coleman‘s dreadlocks at the 2015 edition of the Oscars.
After receiving a lot of negative comments on Twitter, she wrote: ‘I WILL NOT BE DRAGGED INTO THIS! The situation is being rectified like ADULTS by both parties. I hope you can leave it to them & do the same!
‘You guys do realize that @Zendaya is my friend right?
‘Im giving everyone involved 24 hours to make it right or the world will hear how I really feel. Contractually Im not allowed to speak!
‘I DID NOT MAKE THE WEED COMENT. I DO NOT CONDONE RACISM SO AS A RSULT OF THIS IM SERIOUSLY QUESTIONING STAYING ON THE SHOW! (Sic)’
Zendaya previously slammed Giuliana for saying: ‘I feel like she smells like patchouli oil … or maybe weed’ while critiquing her red carpet look at the Oscars on the E! series.
She wrote on Instagram: ‘To say that an 18-year old young woman with locs (dreadlocks) must smell of patchouli oil or ‘weed’ is not only a large stereotype but outrageously offensive.’
The 40-year old star initially apologised on Twitter but following Kelly’s tweets she also issued a public apology to the young actress on E! News on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, saying: ‘Something I said last night did cross the line. I didn’t intend to hurt anybody, but I’ve learned it’s not my intent that matters, it’s the result.’
