The 33-year-old singer-songwriter, who gave birth to a daughter named River Rose Blackstock in June last year – revealed the happy news in the middle of her concert at the Staples Center in Los Angles on Wednesday night, August 19, 2015 as she stopped during a performance of ‘Piece By Piece’ to share the news with her fans.
The former ‘American Idol’ winner has previously spoken of her desire to have more children, but said she would wait until the end of her current tour.
She said: ‘I do America until October and then Canada in October, so I think we’re coming here to the UK in November.
‘Hopefully, because I plan on being pregnant very soon after that, so hopefully I get here!’
The singer also acknowledged how hard it is to balance being a mother with having a successful pop career.
She said: ‘After tour I want to start (trying) for the next one. It’s hard being a woman and wanting kids and fitting in your career.’
