Last year, Keke Palmer, who is best remembered for her role as a child star in ‘Akeelah and the Bee’, revealed that she was once interested in playing the Aaliyah role in the singer’s biopic which was initially given to Zandeya Coleman before there was a fallout between the producers and Aaliyah’s family which saw the project being dropped.
She also did a short version of her own version of Aaliyah’s ‘Try Again’.
