The NET newsroom went wild yesterday, as Kennis CEO Keke Ogungbe leaked what appeared to be R&B singer, Femi Adeyinka‘s real age.
Although it’s not on record that he falsified his age, his boyish looks and personal style made many believe he was in his thirties.
In a startling revelation, his former label boss, Kenny Ogungbe while reacting to his exit from Kennis Music told a Punch journalist: ‘A 40- or 41- year-old Capital FEMI aka Femi Adeyinka who sings R&B type of music in Nigeria has the right to say whatever he wants to say about his contractual agreement with Kennis Music on the pages of newspapers and online.’
Although Ogungbe says the label is still chummy with the singer, it’s unlikely FEMI and his team will find the age revelation funny.
Femi Adeyinka is a native of Abeokuta, Ogun state Nigeria.
He traveled to USA at the age of 12 and returned to Nigeria in 2009 to pursue music on the encouragement of his uncle, the comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka.
