Nollywood actress, Kate Hanshaw has lost the chance to represent the Calabar South/Akpabuyo/Bakassi Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Kate was defeated at the primaries which held yesterday, Saturday, December 6, 2014, in Calabar, Cross River State.
And in the spirit of fairness, the actress made the announcement via her Twitter handle, writing: ‘The primary was conducted in an orderly manner. It was fair and transparent. Sadly I did not make it. My congrats to the winner.’
She continued by saying: ‘Happy Sunday to all my great people. God bless you for the support and words of encouragement. God will reward you same abundantly.’
With the development, Kate Henshaw joins other entertainers like Kenny Saint Best and Dayo Adeneye who have lost at their respective party primaries.
