Justine Ihom is a 34-year-old graduate of Chemistry from Benue State University and holds a master’s degree in Organic Chemistry from the University of Ibadan.
He has always been passionate about music but received the MTNF scholarship to study music in 2018 where he studied Voice under the instruction of Princess Banke Ademola.
Justine has an interest in music production and in nurturing musical talent in younger people. He’s also enthusiastic about music production, and has a few songs to his credit. He looks forward to one day sharing the stage with celebrated Nigerian artistes like Asa, Cobhams, Dare, and a few others.
Every year, the MTN Foundation sponsors 30 young Nigerian musicians to study music at the prestigious MUSON School of Music, and in the past 13 years, 330 students have been awarded this scholarship.
Justine is a beneficiary of this scholarship, and he explains that pursuing his love for music would have been quite tough for him without the scholarship. According to him, studying music requires total dedication, and he was quite financially constrained at that time.
Justine Ihom and the rest of the 2020 graduating set and beneficiaries of the MTN Foundation scholarship, recently performed at the MUSON graduation concert as a part of their graduation ceremony. They have also received a diploma from the institution for two years of hard work and study.
We look forward to seeing what Justine will be doing with his newly found knowledge and all of the young lives he will be impacting as a result.
