The 20-year old singer headed into the studio with the founder of Def Jam Records late on Tuesday night, January 13, 2015 and has reportedly enlisted the help of the super-producer in order to create an ‘urban’ sound for his new music.
Confirming they are working together, the ‘Beauty and a Beat’ hitmaker posted a grainy photo of the pair on his Shots account yesterday, Wednesday, January 14, 2015, writing: ‘With the man Rick.’
Reposting the selfie, the youngster’s manager, Scooter Braun teased the news further by writing, ‘Working on some history!’
The 51-year old producer has previously worked with the likes of Kanye West and Jay Z and has been credited with raising the profile of hip hop music by popularising acts such as Run-D.M.C., Public Enemy and the Beastie Boys during his extensive career.
