Comedy veteran Julius Agwu is back with the 11th edition of the popular comedy show Crack Ya Ribs. Crack Ya Ribs has over the years become a widely respected annual comedy gig that has showcased the top comedians the country has to offer.
Last year’s edition attracted quite a number of personalities such as Dimeji Bankole, Publisher of Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu, Dayo Adeneye, Frank Edoho, Olu Maintan amongst others. A host of comedians such as Ali Baba, Basorge Tariah, Okey Bakassi, Seyi Law, Gandoki, Dan D Humorous, Senator and Krazy Legs gave out back-to-back jokes; coming together to help the event live up to its billing..
Agwu says this year’s edition will be bigger and better as the show will be held in different parts of the country, as well as the UK. Kicking off in Abuja on Sunday, July 31, 2011, the next stop will be London then Port-Harcourt and finally Lagos.
‘After ten years of the show, we are not expected to continue to do things in the same way. This year’s edition is going to be different from the previous years. We are bringing in quality entertainment for massive enjoyment’, the comedian talks about the new development.
As a norm, popular musicians are to perform at the gig but as of now, no names have been mentioned.
