
The ‘Mr & Mrs’ actor was born on November 9, 1976 to Kogi indigene father and Anambra born mother. He studied Computer Literacy in University of Nigeria, Enugu where he earned a diploma. In 2013, Joseph revealed in an interview that he was studying for a Philosophy degree at the University of Ibadan.
Joseph Benjamin’s journey in the entertainment world began at the age of 12 when he appeared on NTA’s ‘Tales by Moonlight’. He has so far starred in several Nollywood blockbusters including ‘Kiss and Tell’, ‘Married but living single’, ‘The Grave Dust’, ‘Mum Dad, Meet Sam’ among other taward-winning titles.
Joseph Benjamin joined MTN West Africa Project Fame in its second season in 2009 taking over from Darey and has hosted the show for 7 seasons, first alongside Adaora Oleh for five seasons and now with Bolanle Olukanni, who replaced Adaora in 2014.
The multi-talented Joseph Benjamin remains one of the most versatile entertainers in Nigeria with a career in Nollywood, modeling, television, voice-over and music. He was actually a contestant at the West African Idol which was won by Timi Dakolo but he got evicted before making it to the final 24.
He is a divorcee with two kids.
