Hollywood actor, Michael Nyqvist, popular for his roles in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and John Wick, has died after a one-year battle with lung cancer.
The 56-year-old Swedish actor passed away quietly surrounded by family.
He played Mikael Blomkvist in the 2009 Swedish films The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest, based on Stieg Larsson’s books.
He also appeared in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and played Gerard Butler in an action movie to be released called Hunter Killer.
