The debut edition of Airtel TRACE Music Star Competition was won by Enajite Peters in Lagos a fortnight ago when she was unanimously announced by a three-man panel judge; Olisa Adibua, Cobhams Asuquo and Lara George.
The 22 years old rising singer from Sapele in Delta State, is a graduate of Health Science from the University of Benin, has her eyes set on carving a niche for herself in music. With her success, she’s gone ahead to represent Nigeria at the Pan-African grand finale in Kenya in a quest to win the grand prize of a record deal with Universal Records and mentor-ship with Akon.
According to Jite, ‘my plan right now going into the next stage, is to rehearse and get good songs, knowing that I am going up against people who are just as talented as I am. My plan is to become better and make sure I put up a better show in Kenya’.
Exuding confidence in her talent, she states that ‘winning in Kenya will be a plus for me but either way, in a couple of years I will be where I want to be on the music scene and even bigger because Jite is here to stay, no going back’, she said.
