Jay Z 'Features' Blue Ivy Carter on New Single

Less than a week old, newly born Blue Ivy Carter, daughter of celebrity couple Jay Z and Beyonce already boasts of her first recorded performance with daddy Jay Z on a song.

The track titled ‘Glory featuring B.I.C’ features Blue Ivy’s voice at the end of the three-minute plus track and some rendition from buddy singer Pharrell Williams.

Jay Z in a solemn tone reminisces about his father and his rise to the top. His lyrics also suggest that Beyonce had a miscarriage before Blue Ivy’s birth.

‘But you was made in Paris/And mama woke up the next day and shot her album package/Last time the miscarriage was so tragic/We was afraid you disappeared/But nah, baby you magic (voilà)’, Jay Z recites in ‘Glory’.

The tune joins other pop songs celebrating musician-born kids, such as Stevie Wonder‘s ‘Isn’t She Lovely?’, (1976, about the birth of his daughter Aisha) and ‘To Zion‘ by Lauryn Hill (1998, about her first child, Zion David).

The megastar couple who welcomed their bundle of joy on Saturday, January 7, 2012, have already reportedly spent a whopping 1 million pounds on daughter’s expenses.

Sources say Jay and Bey are still ecstatic over the birth of their baby.

In a statement released today to the press, the new parents disclosed details about the birth of their daughter.

‘Blue was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs. and it was the best experience of both of our lives. Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven. We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support‘, the happy couple said.
