The Jalaa Writers’ Collective announced today, plans for an event to read their latest works Roses and Bullets, Blackbird and Pride of the Spider Clan on Saturday, July 9, 2011.
The collective which was created in 2009 by 10 Nigeria-based writers, have come together in an effort to tackle the book production and distribution challenges of the local publishing industry.
The event will take place at the Life House, Life House, 33, Sinari Daranijo Street, Off Younis Bashorun Street, Off Ajose Adeogun Street,
Victoria Island, Lagos.
Members of the writer’s collective are Adunni Adelakun, Igoni Barrett, Akachi Adimora-Ezeigbo, Joy Isi Bewaji, Jude Dibia, Odili Ujubuonu, Araceli Aipoh, Victoria Kankara, Ahmed Maiwada and Peter Umez.
