Iyanya is one of the first Nigerian entertainers to visit some of the survivors of the Monday, April 14, 2014, car bombing that took place in Nyanya, Abuja.
The pop singer posted pictures and short videos of his visit to an Abuja hospital on Instagram. He is seen consoling one of the victims, a mother, and singing his song ‘Kukere’ with her.
‘In Abuja to visit The Nyanya Bomb Blast Victims. And all this woman asked me to do is to sing for her. Thank God I made her smile #God Bless Them And be with Us All,‘ he wrote.
Over 70 people died in the blast, and many were left injured.
