Ezinne Kufre-Ekanem, CEO of Rosemarys, an interior design and soft furnishing company, in the highbrow area of Lekki, Lagos, has affirmed that Masala is the colour of the year.
The earthy red wine colour started making its appearance on runways and fashion look books in late 2014 and has since found its way into homes in small furnishing pieces like rugs, throw pillows and paintings.
According to Ezinne, Masala’s versatility will no doubt endear it to the minds of everyone.
‘It is a very cheerful colour and the good thing about it is the way it lends itself to various interpretations and applications, which makes it more versatile,’ she said.
The designer, who appreciates the new colour for its appeal and versatility, is ready to help people explore the colour in amazing ways.
