Media practitioner and lawyer Ebuka Obi-Uchendu set off a series of tweets about the year 2007 that will make many of us feel old and thankful for all the great Nigerian music that came out that year.
Ten years ago, Ebuka was a year removed from finishing third at the first (and only till date) Big Brother Nigeria reality show.
Since even he can’t believe all that was a decade ago.
Hard to believe 2007 was 10 years ago.

It’s only right that we remember what he looked like back then

But his thread about 2007 songs are on point and we’re sharing them with you
1. Do Me by Psquare
The song that made PSquare African superstars. It’s still an anthem in many countries across the continent. Featuring the voice of Wajé pic.twitter.com/4QLWUxaaG4

2. Bibanke by Asa
When Asa showed us that writing and talent and standing out from the noise will always matter pic.twitter.com/gfJ7sBAKAe

3. Stylee by DJ Jimmy Jatt featuring Mode9, 2face and Ela Joe
The first DJ in the country to drop a single (and album). With crazy features. And it was a smash hit! pic.twitter.com/MaNPGcmm4Z

7. Yahooze by Olu Maintain
There just wasn’t a bigger song in Nigeria that year. And possibly the year after. Olu Maintain had arrived pic.twitter.com/GQ7lEUiSR1
