‘Make-up is not a sign of insecurity for women but rather a foundation for confidence‘, Betsy Leimbigler, Fashion and International Affairs Columnist.
Quite a number of Nigerian celebrities have been brave enough to post their ‘make-up free’ photos on social media; the unusual picture sharing trend became a vogue in 2013 with over 30 females dropping their cleaned out faces on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
Following the trend of late was Mercy Aigbe who posted two different set of photos on her Instagram – a pair of photos with and without make up. She then asked her fans which they preferred. The fancy Nollywood actress got quite a lot of response from her fans on IG with the bulk of them saying they loved both sets of photos.
Surprisingly, Aigbe deleted both set of photos. She then re-posted the photos where she was only wearing heavy makeup.
What made Aigbe delete the photos?
