Nigeria’s two goals in each halves was enough to see the team to victory despite conceding a goal as early as the 7th minute. The Mexicans leveled up at the return of the second half via a fantastic strike by D. Cortes but this was short lived as Osinachi Ebere made it number 3 for Nigeria barely 8 minutes later.
Nigeria’s wonder boy, Victor Osimhen sealed the win in the 83rd minute after slotting home a penalty kick to make it 4-2 while recording his 9th goal at the ongoing world cup. Nigeria has now qualified for her 8th final in 11 appearances.
