Kennis Music boss, Kenny Ogungbe has finally spoken about the exit of R&B singer, Capital FEMI from the label.
In a chat with Punch, Ogungbe said: ‘A 40- or 41- year-old Capital Femi aka Femi Adeyinka who sings R & B type of music in Nigeria has the right to say whatever he wants to say about his contractual agreement with Kennis Music on the pages of newspapers and online.’
Obviously unhappy with the singer, continued by laying emphasis on the fact that FEMI dropped just one album in 6 years as opposed to the 4 albums he signed up for in his 6 year deal, Kenny added: ‘It’s worthy to note, however, that he penned to a six-year/four full albums contract in December 2009 and only one album dropped up till date.’
He concluded by saying both parties have no issues, ‘We actually agreed on things and everything is fine between us; we have no issues.’
At the moment, the only artiste left with Kennis music is Joe El whose debut album drops in July. Other acts like Minjin, Jaywon, Essence have all left the label.
