The marriage between Idina Menzel & Taye Diggs has finally hit the rocks as the former couple finalised their divorce before they holidays began.
Mezel, a popular Broadway star who is also known for portraying Queen Elsa in Disney’s Frozen, married 44-year old Diggs and also played Dr. Sam Bennett on Private Practice and now stars on TNT’s Murder in the First.
The two met in the ’90s on the set of the Broadway musical, ‘Rent’ and reprised their roles of Maureen and Benny in a 2005 movie adaptation with a 5-year old son, Walker Nathaniel to show for it.
According to Diggs: ‘There weren’t a lot of couples like us in the theater community—and I know there aren’t a lot of performers as talented as she is…and then you have the whole mixed [race] thing, It was easy for people to root for us. Right now, we’re still trying to figure out a lot of stuff because we’re on different coasts and our son is getting older.’
