Chocolate City rapper Ice Prince Zamani has joined African pop giant D’banj on the list of performers for this year’s BBC Radio 1 Hackney Weekend in London.
The star rapper will be featured while Jamaican reggae singer Gyptian performs; the duo will perform the remix to Ice Prince’s single ‘Magician’.
The festival which is put together by the UK national radio station will take place on Saturday, June 23 and Sunday June 24 at the Hackney Marshes, London.
The Hackney weekender which will be the highlight of the London 2012 festival will take place on the June 23-24 2012 featuring six stages and over 80 international and UK acts.
‘To be given the opportunity to perform on such a stage with some of my icons is exciting and a blessing. I feel very privileged and definitely looking forward to performing with Gyptian’, Ice Prince says.
Other performers at the 1xtra Stage include Nas, Sean Paul, Wretch 32, B.o.B, Taio Cruz, Azealia Banks.
The 25-year-old has been nominated at the 2012 BET Awards in the ‘Best African Act’ category, alongside compatriot Wizkid
