I really don’t know what to say!!!
I can only thank God that Zara is in a better place.
Listening to our numerous voice notes, I can smile because even when in pain (emotional, physical and psychological) all she wanted to do was get back in that vocal booth. Even with her weakness she wanted to get on stage.
In her on words ‘I don’t mind sitting on the stage doing my thing, I just want to live longer’. And longer she did live, her strength was unbelievable. I remember vividly one night in December 2013, she called me on Skype, she went on and on talking about how she will drop her EP and new material. I stopped her at a point and asked ‘Zara, How are you?’, her response was ‘This man how do you think I am? Eh? Eh? Oya back to what I was saying!!!!………’
I can smile this morning because even in her weakest state, she just wanted everyone to be happy and not pity her or be nice cause they can finally see that she is truly sick.
Margaret Mary Oluwatoyin Ejiro Joseph battled Multiple Sclerosis (MS is an autoimmune disease that affects the brain and spinal cord) like a Trojan and a rare Gem!!!
Rest in Peace babes!!!
God grant her family the fortitude to bare this loss.
