American rapper, Cardi B took to social media to celebrate her NET Honours win at the 2021 edition of NET Honours People’s Choice Awards.
Cardi B took home the ‘Most Popular Female Foreign Celebrity’ award for the second year in a row. She faced competition from award-winning Trinidadian rapper Nicki Minaj, Grammy-award-winning American singer Beyonce, Barbadian singer Rihanna, American singer Becky G and American socialite and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian.
In an emotional tweet, Cardi thanked Netng for her award, saying, “I can’t wait to visit you guys again, but this time I want to go for five days or more. I want to experience more and see more. I hope I go back around the holidays too. Thank you, guys. I love you so much. I feel so connected to you guys .”
In December 2019, Cardi B paid a visit to Nigeria to perform and won the hearts of several Nigerians with her enthusiastic appreciation of the country. She kept fans in the loop on social media on how she spent her time in the country. As a result, Nigerians gave her the nickname “Chioma B”.
