The singer, who is gearing up to release his debut single ,‘Burst my Brain’ recently revealed how he auditioned for 7 years before he got to win the contest.
In a telephone chat with Gbemi of Beat FM, Geofrrey said: ‘I have been going for auditions several times before I won, I auditioned 7 times to be precise and that’s 7 years, before I got into the academy and I emerged the winner.’
When asked what kept him motivated to keep going for the auditions, he said: ‘I don’t give up easily and I truly believe in my talent, so I was sure and convinced that I would be heard one day.’
Geoffrey was handed a cheque of N5m, a brand new car as well as a recording contract for winning the competition.
