In what is clearly unprecedented since the kick-off of the Big Brother Africa reality TV show by Endemol and Multichoice in 2005, 5 ladies have been evicted from the reality TV show in just 2 weeks.
Just when viewers were getting over the eviction of Mira from Tanzania and Resa from Zambia, three more of the Big Brother Hotshots ladies were sent home on Sunday, October 19, 2014.
Lilian from Nigeria, Esther from Uganda and Sabina from Kenya departed the continental reality show, joining Resa and Mira as evictees so far. The trio were sent home after gathering the fewest votes from Africa over the course of the week, out of the 9 housemates nominated for eviction.
JJ received five country votes while Tayo received three and Permithias got two. Four housemates received one country vote each and two housemates received no country votes. The tie-breaker rule again came into effect this week to separate the four housemates who received one country vote each.
Like Mira and Resa case just last week, Lilian and Esther emerged on stage in high spirits, with Lilian finding the composure to freestyle while IK provided the beat and Esther saying she’d felt a close connection with Tayo because he shared her blunt nature.
For Sabina, however, it was a case of weeping through it all with the realisation that her participation in the TV show had come to an end bringing tears to her eyes.
