The Nigerian entertainment scene has been cast in bad light once more with while still in the process of redeeming that somewhat battered image internationally.
Earlier this evening, news broke out that Grammy award winner, Lauryn Hill will no longer be performing at the May Day Live concert holding tonight at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos due to the inability of show promoters to perfect arrangements regarding her flight to Lagos.
This occurrence has put Nigerian entertainment in bad light once more and one must say it is gradually becoming a norm. A similar scenario played out as American rapper, Wale, in November 2013, suffered the same fate as he was left stranded at the airport while he was supposed to perform at the launch of Ice Prince‘s album, Fire of Zamani.
This has to be corrected for music acts not to think it is a habit for show organisers in Nigeria to shy away from doing the basic of what they ought to. As bad as it is, sources say the same promoter in the case of Wale is responsible for this unpleasant act once more.
