The Nsem Pii actress talked about people seeing successful side of celebrities only without thinking of what they must have gone through to get to the point they are presently.
According to her, she spent two weeks at the Komfo Amokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi after some people tried to bring her down.
Speaking with showbiz show, Restoration TV, the actress narrated: ‘From day one that I started my work, acting, people think they see you on TV and it’s beautiful. No doubt, it is very beautiful but the attacks that you get, you have no idea.
‘I’ve been poisoned on set twice. I’ve been admitted in, we call it Gee, (Komfo Anokye) for two weeks without food. I went home with about forty drips. Injections, I can’t count. So you know Akua, my soul ‘dieerrr’ not even my mother has a hold of it. It is for God.’
Nana Ama McBrown made her movie debut in 2001, for the movie, That Day and has gone on to become a popular face in Ghana.
