The 39-year-old star – who’s spent most of her working life in front of the camera – helmed the project and Miyavi, one of the stars of the biopic, has revealed the stress of the job took a toll on her health.
The 33-year-old Japanese actor explained: ‘It was surprising how much she trusted me, all of us, on the set.
‘She was so determined. I was also surprised how skinny she got. You know, she was not eating much.’
Speaking to HuffPost Live, he added: ‘I felt so bad I was the only one who got fat during filming.’
Miyavi revealed recently that he vomited on the set of the World War II film – which is based on the 2010 non-fiction book by Laura Hillenbrand – in front of Angelina, because he was so nervous.
The actor, who plays torturous sergeant, Matsuhiro Watanabe, told the New York Post’s Page Six column: ‘I literally threw up.
