THENETNG presents seven US celebrities that have visited Nigeria so far in 2016.
Brian McKnight

Brian McKnight, a 16-time Grammy Award nominee, arrived Nigeria on January 29 at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

The singer headlined the third edition of Butterscotch Evenings the next day, performing alongside Nigerian music stars including Shina Peters and Styl-Plus.
Ciara
Ciara arrived Lagos, Nigeria on February 26, 2016 with plans to headline ‘Love Like a Movie 3’ concert by Nigerian singer, Dare Art Alade. LLAM had hosted her fellow US celebs Kim Kardashian and Kelly Rowland for the two previous editions.
Two days later, Ciara wowed the audience at the musical show which held at Eko Hotels in Victoria Island – performing some of her hit tracks and showing off her dancing steps as she shared the stage with other Nigerian entertainers.
At some time during the memorable night, Nigerian dancer Kaffy taught Ciara – a Grammy award winning singer – and her backup dancers how to dance to Iyanya’s ‘Kukere’, Tekno’s ‘Duro’ and Olamide’s ‘Bobo’ to the wild delight of the crowd.
Now see what she did on the streets of Lagos the following day, which became a global trend…
Baby. #Duro..

The American singer arrived in Nigeria last week accompanied by her father. It’s her second time in the West African country following her 2012 visit where she performed in Abuja.
She was a judge at the grand finale of Trace Music Star competition that held in Lagos on Saturday June 11.
The super talented @kerihilson. Personality as beautiful as she is. Have a safe flight dear.

Thanks to Tinie, Olajumoke gained global stardom.
It’s the kind of thing you see in the movies. A random breadseller in Lagos became a global sensation, barely days after photo-bombing a shoot involving leading Nigerian photographer TY Bello and UK music star Tinie Tempah.
#WCW #Olajumoke This woman went from Photobombing my photoshoot in Lagos for @thisdaystyle to landing her own Modelling contract! She went from selling that bread to getting that bread real quick lol! So happy for her, she is most definitely blessed and this goes to show that ANYTHING can happen you just have to be at the right place at the right time. Hopefully this beginning of great things for her
