We’ve been anticipating Simi‘s coming album, Simisola, for a while now and she had us salivating when she dropped ‘Smile For Me’.
Now, she’s dropped another single. The Oscar-produced love song, ‘Joromi,’ follows what has become Simi’s signature style. You can hear it right here.

Though, the single is quite infectious and harmony filled, it’s starting to become a cliche sound for the ‘Jamb Question’ singer.
‘Joromi’, about a man who’s ignoring Simi’s multiple signals to notice her, is equipped with all the makings of a hit. It has the catchy formulaic call and response chorus and it is also love-themed.
However, the song would serve better as a jewel on the album track list, as opposed to yet another single.

We love Simi as much as the soldier next door, but we’d love to hear a bit of diversity from the songstress.
Maybe she can start by collaborating with a different producer instead of her usual producer, Oscar.
Whatever her next step is, we are here watching, Joro.
