
71-year-old actress Helen Mirren is set to make a comeback to Television after a 10-year break.
It’s a decade since she starred in the series Prime Suspect as Detective Jane Tennison for seven seasons until 2006.
Helen – named Best Actress at the 2006 Oscars for her role in The Queen – has however worked in several Hollywood films during the TV hiatus.

And she has now been linked to feature in a spy TV drama, based on British writer Charles Cumming‘s Thomas Kell spy novel trilogy about a disgraced MI6 officer.
Helen will play the character of MI6 boss Amelia Levene, who causes panic in Whitehall by going missing.
The series will be released next year and will also star Colin Firth, who is also the drama’s producer.
Meanwhile, Helen will star alongside Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Tyrese Gibson and more in Fast 8, set to release in 2017.
