There is no questioning about Burna Boy’s talent and since his mainstream breakout in 2012, the singer has never been off the radar. Although he has been repeatedly nominated by the award even in the 2013 Next Rated Category (which was won by Sean Tizzle), Burna Boy has never lifted a plaque.
He was also nominated in this years; Best Reggae/Dancehall category (which was won by 2Baba) and the Best Collaboration category for his input on Skales’ “Temper”, which was won by Tiwa Savage with the Wizkid-assisted “Ma Lo”.

Burna Boy hasn’t won a headies award before? It brings into question the credibility of the dis tin tbh. Dude is amazing. Maybe his attitude puts the organizers off but still, habatically speaking dude should be collecting the dis tin. #Headies2018

If I’m Burna Boy, I’m taking my talent and leaving this unappreciative industry. The disrespect is too much.
