The actress was born and bred in Liberia but returned home in 1991 during the civil war in that country. She is a graduate of Economics from Lagos State University.
Her first movie Cassanova, where she acted alongside Kanayo O Kanayo and Emeka Ike, was released in 1999. She has since featured in over 50 movies.
Osayemi is married to actor, Bakare Adeoye.
