One of those days that it’s cool to be proudly Nigerian, yes? Google certainly thinks so.
Users of the tech giant woke up today to see a doodle featuring the Nigerian green-white-green colours and the distinct Aso Rock. It’s Google’s way of wishing the country a happy Independence Day today 1 October.
A click on the doodle opens up another page where trivia about Nigeria and its history are displayed.
In the same vein, Twitter also dedicated a number of hashtags in commemoration of Nigeria’s Independence day (#NigerianIndependenceDay, #NigeriaAt58, #HappyIndependenceNG) but the colours have a splash of red- from the eagle on the coat of arms.
