The town of Amokwe Item, in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State will today come alive as it witnesses the funeral of late veteran actor James Kelechi Iroha popularly known as Giringory.
Yesterday, a service of songs was held at his residence, Obioma quarters, World Bank Housing Estate, Umuahia, Abia state.
Early this morning, his body leaves, in a motorcade to Methodist Church Mission Hill, Umuahia for church service. After the church service, his body will make a brief stopover at the Rich Club, Umuahia, en-route to his home town in a motorcade. While in his home town, Iroha’s body will be lying in state for service and ceremony at the Central school Amokwe Item.
Interment takes place at his country home Iyiamayi Amokwe item by 3pm.
Iroha who died on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 is popularly known for his role as Gringori Akabogu in ‘The New Masquerade’ T.V series which he basically conceptualised and wrote.
