Ghana‘s President John Atta-Mills is dead. The 68-year-old died a few hours after being taken ill, BBC reports.
Atta-Mills who is said to have been suffering from throat cancer, died in the capital, Accra, today July 24, 2012.
‘It is with a heavy heart…that we announce the sudden and untimely death of the president of the Republic of Ghana’, an official statement from the government house read.
Atta Mills has ruled Ghana since 2009.

wooow! i just saw it on cnn this evening how can a whole president just suffer from throat cancer and die like that. but, all thesame may his gentle soul rest in perfect peace. untill when we reunite again.
