Girls Got Bold (GGB) dance crew has reacted over their NET Honours 2022 Most Popular Dance/Video Vixen award.
The three-woman crew was announced the winner of the category on Friday, July 1, 2022, ahead of other nominees, Poco Lee, Kaffy, Pinki Debbie, Tosin Pedro, and Stephen Papi. Congratulatory messages poured in from fans when Afige ‘Liquorose’ Omokhoa, BBNiaja season six runner-up and one of the GGB dancing crew shared the news on her Twitter account.
Tagging Odiley Emmanuella, and Ifeoma Efiokwu, her GGB dancing crew members, Liquorose wrote on her Twitter handle…
“Congratulations to us.”
A fan, @slizar1, commenting on the well-deserved award for the crew’s outstanding performance said “congratulations to you guys. Your work over the years is speaking for you.”
With a pumping graphic interchange format (GIF) to celebrate the win, another fan, @omon_sylvia, wrote “congratulations sweets,” while @Fadz_a_i said the group is “one of the best dance groups in Africa.”
Since GGB was formed in 2014, the dancing steps, moves and energy of the trio have made them fans’ favourites. In one of their dance choreography posted on their YouTube channel, the crew showcased an incredible level of skill that had earned the video over 2 million views with several parts of the video used as clips online.
Commenting on the visible support and enthusiasm fans showed for their favourites, Michael Orodare, the Editorial Lead at ID Africa said “in seven days, we recorded more than 21,000 votes from fans who chose their favourites in the new categories. This is why we introduced 15 new voting categories that gave fans more power to choose their favourite celebrities for the awards.”
Since its debut in 2013, NET Honours have been one of the world’s most prestigious verified audience-based awards presented to deserving individuals for their outstanding achievements and contribution to the Nigerian entertainment industry.
