The picture above might confuse you, especially when this Hollywood actress has described some of Goodluck Jonathan‘s policies as ‘absolutely appalling, very fear-based and full of hatred’.
On January 25, 2014 when Goldie Hawn met with the Nigerian President at the World Economic Forum holding in Davos, Switzerland, it is believed she had no idea GEJ wasn’t in support of the LGBT family.
The actress who is a firm believer in Gay Rights got blasted on Twitter for sharing a picture of herself meeting with the ‘Anti-Gay’ president. Apparently, Hawn up till when she got lashed on the micro-blogging site was not aware GEJ doesn’t support Gay Rights.
The 68-year-old immediately deleted the photo and apologized to her Twitter fans then went on to berate GEJ;
‘My god I deeply apologize for not being informed. horrifying! Deeply embarrassed I was misinformed and do NOT support this horror! So deeply embarrassed. Hateful acts shameful! No I am horrified to learn this. Hateful act! Uninformed thank you for enlightening me. Had absolutely no idea. What horror! So deeply regret. I am horrified had no idea. Thank you for informing me of this‘, Hawn wrote in a series of tweets.
She later told the Huffingpost she wasn’t aware of GEJ’s position on Gay Rights as she ‘literally hadn’t looked at the news’ because she’s been traveling and writing a book.
She also said she was ‘absolutely appalled’ when she found out about Jonathan’s anti-gay views.
