Northern Irish actor and DJ, Kristian Narin, has come out to reveal that he is gay.
Narin revealed this during an interview on fan site, WinterIsComing.net, when he was asked a question regarding his portrayal of burly strongman Hodor, protector of the young prince Bran Stark.
Kristain said he was surprised that the issue hadn’t been discussed earlier in his acting career, ‘I’ve never hidden my sexuality from anyone. In all honesty, when you talk about the gay community, you are talking about my community.
‘It’s a privilege, and I really mean that. I’ve never hidden my sexuality from anyone, my whole life in fact, and I’ve been waiting for someone to ask me about it in an interview, because it’s not something you just blurt out. I’ve tried to lead the questions a few times, to no avail.’
He returns as Hodor in the new season of Game of Thrones, which will premiere on HBO on Sunday, April 6, 2014.
