The 2020 Soundcity MVP awards held last night at the Eko Convention Center. It was hosted by South African media personality, Bonang Matheba and filled with lots of amazing performances. It also recognised some of the amazing talents across Africa, although Nigerians dominated most of the award categories.
Burna Boy who is currently the biggest Nigerian artist in the diaspora was the biggest winner of the night, taking home three awards. Newcomers, Joeboy and Fireboy also took home their first major awards at the show last night.

Best Pop Artist – Joeboy ‘All For You’ (Nigeria)
Music Video of the Year – Tiwa Savage ‘49-99’ (Nigeria)
Best Female – Teniola (Nigeria)
Best Male – Burna Boy (Nigeria)
Producer of the Year – Rexxie (Nigeria)
DJ of the Year – DJ Spinall (Nigeria)
Best Hip Hop Artiste – Khaligraph Jones ‘Leave Me Alone’ (Kenya)
