When death stings, like a bee, it leaves in its trail a very painful feeling. And such is the situation the journalism world, especially the society and entertainment sectors, have been thrown into as one of the finest celebrity journalists in the country, Foluso Samuel, has just passed on after a very brief illness.
The shocking news was broken by another of his colleague, Folorunso Hamzat on Facebook in the early hours of yesterday (Thursday, October 29) and since then, there has been an outpour of emotions, tears and tribute for the deceased.
Samuel, a long time reporter with society magazine, Encomium Weekly, rose through the ranks to become the Deputy Editor, before he moved on to float his own magazine, The Society Nigeria.
Samuel was best known for his incisive coverage of celebrity weddings that had taken him to many parts of the world and he will be sorely missed by the soft-sell media fraternity.
Orphaned some years ago, Samuel is survived by his young wife and two Kids.
