This weekend US business magazine Forbes made a serious goof with Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan‘s name.
An article titled ‘As Sanusi Is Suspended, Is Nigeria Still The World’s New Investment Darling?‘ was published on their website Forbes.com on Friday, February 21, 2014 and erroneously referred to Jonathan as ‘President Johnson‘.
The error was left on the website for over 24 hours until Nigerians on social media (including TV host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu) spotted the error and aired their thoughts.
‘we have now corrected the error. Thanks for calling it to our attention‘, @Forbes tweeted at @Ebuka.
Forbes have not only effected the changes but left a permanent update on the article page detailing the error earlier made.
‘A previous version of this post incorrectly referred to Nigerian President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan as President Johnson. The post has been corrected‘, the update reads.
