Fans of Spanish football will not be able to watch their favourite football stars in action from later this month as the league embarks on an indefinite strike that could affect La Liga and the Copa Del Rey matches in the final weeks of the 2014 -15 season.
According to reports in Spain, the strike is set to kick off on Saturday, May 16, 2015, following the disagreement over television rights and the Spanish Football Federation is clearly unhappy with government over the revenue distribution dispute.
A statement from the President of the Spanish Football Federation, Angel Maria Villar also confirmed the strike.
‘All matches from the May 16 start date of the strike will be suspended including the showpiece final at the Nou Camp at the end of the month.’
