A fire outbreak occurred in the early hours of Sunday, January 15 2011 at the Yaba market, Lagos. The outer section of the market where fairly used clothes were sold was raised to the ground, leaving rumbles of burnt items and wood particles for the shop owners to meet in the morning.
‘Nobody knows the cause of the fire outbreak or when exactly it started. We are more focused on how our shops will be rebuilt‘, a shop owner Kennedy, tells NET.
