Torres’ team-mates, Gabi and Sime Vrsaljko, were first to reach the striker and kept the then unconscious player from swallowing his tongue.
Both players would later receive praise from medical personnel of Deportivo for their ‘perfect’ response to the incident.

Torres had come on as a substitute for Kevin Gameiro in the match which ended in a 1-1 draw.
The result sees fourth-placed Atletico fall further behind from the top three in La Liga.
