The campaign was tagged ‘Kick out Ebola.’
The rally, put together by Joe-Okei Odumakin-led Women Arise, staged the campaign to sensitise the public on how to increase their personal hygiene and stay away from the virus.
Some of the celebrities who gathered at Allen Avenue for the rally that lasted a few hours include ace comedian Gbenga Adeyinka, actor and film maker, Saheed Balogun, Ojo Arowosafe, better known in old Yoruba movies as Fadeyi Oloro, Dr Joe Odumakin and many others.
According to a message from ace comedian Gbenga Adeyinka, ‘Ebola virus is real, ensure your personal hygiene and avoid large gatherings except my comedy show,’ he said.
