Born into the family of the legendary Nigerian jazz musician, Art Alade and Olapeju Alade, Darey shot to fame during the 2004 edition of Project Fame Academy where he came third. He released his debut album, From me to you in 2006 with hit songs such as ‘Fuji‘, ‘Escalade‘ and ‘Original Naija‘ used as the theme song for the first edition of Big Brother Nigeria that same year.
