The trio of producer-scriptwriter, Emem Isong, popular filmmaker Tunde Kelani and actor, Richard Mofe Damijo were yesterday honoured with special recognition awards at the Best Of Nollywood awards in Lagos.
In response to the gesture, Isong thanked the organisers for the gesture and brought on stage directors, Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen and Desmond Elliot, two of the directors that have encouraged her in her 15 year journey in the industry.
Biodun Kupoluyi and Fred Amata who represented Kelani and Damijo respectively, also spoke warmly of the gesture, stressing that it was important to honour the old generation to serve as an encouragement to upcoming ones.
